Radium Engineering's RA-Series Fuel Cells are some of the highest quality fuel cells on the market. These cells feature full SFI & FIA safety certifications and are designed to be used as part of Radium's full fuel cell solution alongside their FCST-X drop-in pump module.
This listing is for the fuel cell only and the FCST-X will need to be added seperately. Alternatively, these can be paired with FuelLab's QSST or Deatschwerks' FST module.
CONSTRUCTION
The heart of the fuel cell is the bladder (shown below in green). This component undergoes thorough testing and carries the critical certifications. Radium RA-series bladders are made from a special polymer that is resistant to ALL fuel types (gasoline, diesel, AV gas, E15, E85, ethanol, methanol, etc).
CERTIFICATIONS
The RA-series fuel cells have been tested and approved by FIA and SFI. All RA-series fuel cells are serialized and come with both certifications and associated paperwork. Certifications are valid for 5 years from the date of manufacture. Radium does NOT sell fuel cells without certifications.
SPECS & FEATURES
Radium currently offers five different sizes of fuel cells. Custom sizes are NOT available. Select the size that best fits your application, usage situation, and space allowed in the vehicle. The manufacturing process for these fuel cell bladders inherently require large tolerances creating a variance in physical size. The volumes listed below are the expected ranges for each bladder.

- Use the chart below for the measurements of each cell. The round spare tire cell measures the same way as the rectangular cells.
- Measurements A & F will be the diameter of the cell at the widest points
- Measurements B & E will be the diameter up to the flat side.

This pre-fabricated weld-in cage speeds fuel cell installation and offers a secure, robust cradle specifically designed for the Radium fuel cell. All cages are constructed out of stainless steel and come with anodized/engraved aluminum over-straps.
Welding is required and should be performed by a professional. Please take proper steps when welding stainless steel to mild steel.
The optional carbon fiber lids are 68% lighter than the powder-coated aluminum lid that comes standard with all Radium Engineering RA-Series fuel cells.
When purchasing with a fuel cell, this product will come in a separate box and will need to be installed by the end user. The standard Radium Engineering aluminum lid cannot be exchanged.
Check with your racing organization to make sure carbon fiber is an acceptable material for the fuel cell enclosure.
