Smeding Performance LS 6.125" 4340 Rods start out as a 4340 steel alloy billet, are shot peened to decrease surface stress and heat treated to increase tensile strength. All Smeding Performance LS 6.125" 4340 Rods have a long-life bronze bushing wrist pin. These connecting rods are available in standard duty design with SP8740 7/16" fasteners OR heavy duty design with ARP 2000 7/16" fasteners for extreme applications.
