DSX TUNING FLEX FUEL KIT - 1999-2007 GM Truck (Silverado/Sierra)
Important Notes for 99-07 Applications:
This kit is designed for the later style GMT900 (07-13) applications, which had native flex fuel control built into the PCM. But, it can be used on the earlier GMT800 applications with a few special considerations. The kit will physically fit the intake/fuel rail without any problems. However, for tuning purposes you will need to consult your tuner regarding applicability and install details. For 03-07 P59 PCMs the sensor can be wired into the appropriate pin (assigned by your tuner) and the flex fuel function can be easily activated in the tuning. However, for the 99-03 0411 PCM there are a few special considerations and "work arounds" required to get up and running. You will either have to convert to the P59 PCM (preferred) or you can segment swap your tune over to one of the earlier SUV COS and your tuner can custom configure the flex fuel input/function (with OS limitations). If you have a 99-03 and you're considering going this route, you MUST consult with your tuner to ensure their confident and comfortable with undertaking this task - it is not a standard tuning task and requires quite a bit more knowledge on PCM OS/Segment Swapping.
