Precision CNC Machined in Phoenix, Arizona
Every billet component included in the FABbot Engineering adapter system is designed, engineered, and CNC machined in house at FABbot Engineering in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
The transmission adapter plate, torque converter adapter, and torque converter pilot slugs are precision machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum. In house manufacturing allows FABbot Engineering to maintain direct control over critical dimensions, fitment, machining quality, and final inspection throughout the production process.

This kit is specifically designed for Dodge pattern 8HP transmissions and is not compatible with BMW or Jaguar pattern 8HP transmissions.

Lightweight Billet Torque Converter Adapter
The included 6061-T6 billet aluminum torque converter adapter provides the mechanical connection between the GM flexplate and Dodge 8HP torque converter.
FABbot Engineering designed the adapter with rotating mass and moment of inertia in mind. Because the adapter becomes part of the rotating assembly, unnecessary mass toward the outside diameter was reduced while maintaining material where required for strength and function.
The distinctive scalloped outer profile strategically removes material from the outer portion of the adapter, helping reduce unnecessary rotating mass and moment of inertia. The result is a purpose built component where the design is functional rather than purely cosmetic.
Flat and Dished GM Flexplate Compatibility
The FABbot torque converter adapter supports both flat and dished GM flexplates found throughout LS, SBC, and BBC applications.
Supporting both flexplate configurations provides additional flexibility when selecting components for a specific GM engine and transmission combination.
34mm and 46mm Torque Converter Pilot Support
Compatible Dodge 8HP torque converters can use different center pilot diameters. For this reason, every kit includes CNC machined billet pilot slugs for both:
• 34mm torque converter pilot diameter
• 46mm torque converter pilot diameter
Both interchangeable pilot slugs are manufactured from 6061-T6 billet aluminum. Verify the torque converter pilot diameter during installation and use the appropriate supplied pilot.
The adapter system incorporates the required torque converter positioning and spacing relationship between the GM flexplate, torque converter adapter, Dodge 8HP torque converter, and transmission.
