The Katech LS Billet Belt Tensioner is a precision-engineered upgrade designed to eliminate belt slip and accessory drive failures under the most demanding conditions. Crafted from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and optimized through Finite Element Analysis (FEA), this tensioner delivers superior rigidity and consistent belt tension where factory units fall short.

 

Developed from Katech’s legendary C5-R Corvette racing program, this component carries decades of motorsport innovation into your LS-powered street or track build. Every detail reflects race-proven engineering, from its CNC-machined body to its corrosion-resistant anodized finish.

 

Factory tensioners often flex under high RPM, causing belts to walk off-center or even throw the belt entirely. Katech solved this problem for endurance racing—and now that same technology is available for your performance build. An OEM pulley is used with raised belt keepers to reduce the belt’s ability to walk away from the centerline, ensuring perfect alignment and maximum reliability.
